Whistler Express Frequently Asked Questions

When booking our bus departure, is flight information necessary?
This is most important to ensure your booking is made correctly and you aren't inconvenienced by missing your bus departure or your outgoing flight from YVR. Please be sure to provide flight details in both directions including your carrier, flight #, and arrival or departures times at YVR. For incoming flights we monitor the status of your flight, and if it is scheduled for a late arrival our agents will bump you to the next bus departure. Your outgoing flight info is even more important to ensure we have allowed enough time for travel between Whistler and YVR, and it greatly assists our drivers to know how tight your connections are before you board the bus in Whistler.

What happens if we miss our enroute flight connection due to weather or unforeseen circumstances?
As long as you contact us immediately from your airport, and prior to your scheduled arrival time at YVR we will endeavor to accommodate you on another bus departure without penalty. However, if you fail to contact us we will consider you a no-show and your reservation will be non refundable.

  • Contact us Toll Free in North America: 1 877 317 7788
  • or local Vancouver 604 266-5386 (or from Off Shore locations)
Where do we board Perimeter's Whistler Express at YVR?

Where do we board Perimeter's Whistler Express if being picked up enroute in downtown Vancouver?
First be reminded that your departures from downtown hotels will be 45 minutes after the scheduled departure from YVR, so you must be ready curbside at your confirmed hotel 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. Your hotel concierge will instruct you where our exact pick up location is for your particular hotel, or look on our Whistler Hotel Departures page for the street description. Your bus driver will have your boarding passes for you, and again please be sure you are on time or our driver will have to leave so as not to inconvenience the rest of the passengers.

What is your luggage policy?
We generally follow the industry guidelines for luggage, similar to most international airlines.
  • Each passenger is allowed 2 checked bags and 1 carry-on bag (plus women’s handbags)
  • Skis and snowboards must be in bags and are considered one of your checked bags
  • Bikes will only be accepted if in a box or bag.  YOU MUST ADVISE PERIMETER AT THE TIME OF BOOKING IF YOU ARE BRINGING A BIKE, otherwise your bike will be carried on a space availability basis.  One bike per passenger.  Please see our Rates page for current handling charges.
  • Our agents reserve the right to charge for excess or overweight luggage
  • Lost Luggage Policy: our lost luggage policy will cover up to $50.00 per bag if we are found responsible for the loss or damage of your baggage.  We strongly recommend you obtain travel insurance to cover such losses, as we cannot be responsible for theft or damage to your belongings while enroute.
Can I bring my pet with me on the bus?
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets, whether in cages or not. We have found that other passengers suffering from allergies cannot tolerate being in the same area as pets, and our luggage bays are not equipped nor heated to handle pet crates.

What is your smoking / alcohol policy?
Smoking and the consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited by law on any of our vehicles. Intoxicated passengers will not be permitted to board and fares will be non-refundable within our cancellation policy.

Do we have Child Safety seats?
In some instances, British Columbia requires Child safety seats. Guests are welcome to use their own Child Restraint Seats. They should ensure that their child seat has been approved for use in a motor vehicle and is used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. It is the guest’s responsibility to secure the Child Restraint Seat to the vehicle seat with strapping or webbing that is approved by the child seat manufacturer. The guest is responsible for providing the strapping or the webbing. The guest must also secure their child in the Child Restraint Seat with a manufacturer-approved lap and/or shoulder belt/harness. We do not provide lap and/or shoulder belts/harnesses.
