2008 marks the 25 year anniversary
of Perimeter Transportation operating bus service
between Vancouver's International Airport and
Whistler. Perimeter Transportation is active marketing
partners with Tourism Whistler, Tourism Vancouver
and the many quality hotels in both Sea to Sky
communities.
- Perimeter Transportation
has been a local family owned business for over
35 years, one of Vancouver’s longest standing
Motor Coach Companies
- It the beginning back in
the early 1970s was operating a shuttle bus
service at Vancouver International Airport between
the main terminal and the south terminal. The
route between these terminals in those days,
was via the Airport’s PERIMETER road and
this was the source of our name.
- In the 1980’s Perimeter
continued this service, was awarded the Airport
to Downtown bus service and the Airport Parking
Shuttle Service. Perimeter also performed airline
employee shuttles in Toronto and in Vancouver.
- Today, we still do airline
crew shuttles in Vancouver and still have a
major presence at YVR with our Whistler Express
and contract Cruise Line transfers.
- Employs over 150 people,
including administrative offices, call center
and maintenance facility in Vancouver and
office in Whistler, with local management and
driver group of 20.
- Perimeter Transportation
currently has a fleet of over 40 vehicles.
- Members of Tourism Vancouver,
Tourism Whistler, Whistler 2020 Committee, Whistler
Chamber of Commerce, Vancouver Coast and Mountains
Tourism Region, BC Trucking Association, Motor
Coach Canada.
